i'm ambivalent.

on the one hand, he was nominated by bush so i am forced to assume that there's something wrong with him. a lifetime appointment to the supreme court is no small thing, so it deserves attention.

on the other hand, the rove/scooter/novak thing seems more immediate to me.

in a perfect world the coverage this week would have been, "john roberts has just been nominated to the supreme court by president bush. more on that in a few weeks, but first we return to the treasonous karl rove..."
