Summary: Kyuhyun invents a drug that is so powerful it changes your life, one taste and you’re hooked.
Sungmin flinched at the slight sting caused by the medicine Siwon was applying to his busted lip.
“Sorry” Siwon apologized
“It’s fine” Sungmin said and Siwon went back to applying the antiseptic to the cuts on Sungmin’s face.
As Siwon continued to treat Sungmin’s wounds he noticed the bruises that were forming on the smaller man’s pale face. He inwardly cursed himself for marring the beautiful features of the drug dealer, Siwon had failed to notice his beauty until now and he wondered how such a pretty man could be involved in such a violent profession.
“Can I ask you a personal question?” Siwon asked, normally he wouldn’t be so nosy but he was desperate to know how such an angelic looking person got into the drug business.
“You want to know how I got into selling drugs, right.” Sungmin said with a smile, he was amused at the other’s boldness to ask such a personal question.
“Uhh…yes” Siwon said “sorry…it’s just…that you don’t….” he started to say but got cut off by Sungmin
“That I don’t look like the type to be into drugs?” Sungmin said
“Yeah” Siwon admitted.
Sungmin smiled at the taller man before he closed his eyes and inhaled
“I don’t do drugs” Sungmin admitted with his eyes still closed
“You don’t?”
“I don’t” Sungmin said opening his eyes to look into Siwon’s shocked ones “none of us do”
“Then why do you do it?” Siwon asked, he was curious about the smaller man’s situation but he was sensing the other didn’t want to talk about it.
“I…” Sungmin started and then stopped as if he was thinking about something from his past “I do it because he really loves me” he finally admitted after a minute of silence
“Who loves you?” Siwon pried
Sungmin giggled before talking “The only person who’s ever genuinely loved me without wanting anything from me in return” he said with a smile that Siwon figured wasn’t a smile seen by many people.
“What do you mean?” Siwon asked. He knew he was prying into the smaller man’s privacy but he was intrigued by the life the dealer had chosen to lead.
Sungmin smiled at Siwon as he thought about how to answer the taller man’s question
“I’ve never had what you’d call a ‘good’ life” Sungmin admitted and Siwon nodded his head to show he was listening
“My father…” Sungmin started and then sighed closing his eyes “he wasn’t a nice man” he said and Siwon saw the sadness in the dealer’s eyes when he opened them again “and the person who said he’d take me away from that life turned out not to be such a good guy either” he said completely skipping over the details of his past.
“And when you get sent to the hospital as much as I had…it changes something in you” he said emotionlessly “It makes you want to fight back…to become stronger…and that’s what I did, I became stronger” he said
“But don’t feel sorry for me” Sungmin said when he noticed the look of pity in Siwon’s eyes “sometimes Hospital’s can be very romantic places” he said smiling as he remembered his past
“He wasn’t fake and that was something I’ve never experienced before” Sungmin said proudly “and the more I learned about him the more I wanted to help him…and one thing led to another and now I sell drugs to rich people” he finished.
“That…doesn’t really make any sense” Siwon said
“I know” Sungmin said turning his head to look into the mirror to examine Siwon’s work.
“You’re pretty good at patching people up” Sungmin complimented
“Uhh…thanks” Siwon said, he was amazed at how the smaller man could change the subject so easily. Sungmin was a lot like Donghae and Siwon started to wonder if Donghae shared a dark past like Sungmin had.
“Did…did Donghae have the same kind of past that you had?” Siwon asked, it just slipped out, he was just too curious.
Sungmin smiled “Now that is none of your business” he said “but no, he didn’t” he answered truthfully
Siwon nodded his head and smiled, at least Donghae wasn’t abused.

“So where are we going now?” Eunhyuk asked as Donghae led him down the street
“I have to go pick up a book” Donghae said shocking Eunhyuk, it was the first time the younger man truthfully told him where they were headed, and he didn’t even snap at him.
“O-Okay” Eunhyuk said, too shocked to say anything else.
When they were standing in front of a library Eunhyuk found the will to speak again.
“So is this a book for school?” he asked causing Donghae to laugh
“I’m not in school” he admitted “I’m a very…busy person, so I don’t have time for those things”
“Oh” Eunhyuk said “what is so important that it messes with your future?”
“That is none of your business” Donghae snapped “but look who’s talking, shouldn’t you be at work or something” Donghae teased.
“I…uhh…I…” Eunhyuk stuttered because he was caught off guard by the younger’s question.
“It doesn’t matter” Donghae said pulling the older man into the library

“We need to come up with a plan” Sungmin said as he applied the antiseptic to Siwon’s cut on his forehead from where Sungmin had kicked him.
“What do you mean?” Siwon asked as he watched the smaller man focus on his job of patching up his minor-compared to Sungmin-injuries.
“We can’t go around telling people we got into a fight” Sungmin said “people will kill you” Sungmin admitted truthfully, if Kyuhyun ever found out it was Siwon who hurt him Kyuhyun would kill the taller man.
“Oh” Siwon said going pale, he never thought of the consequences when they were fighting.
“Don’t worry” Sungmin said when he noticed the flicker of fear in Siwon’s eyes “No one knows I was coming to see you…I was busy with…other things to inform them who I was meeting”
Siwon nodded his head but didn’t look any calmer.
“Just tell Donghae you saved me from getting jumped” Sungmin said
“That doesn’t sound…” Siwon was trying to protest but got cut off by Sungmin
“Donghae is not an idiot” he said “he’ll know you’re lying”
“Then why…” Siwon started to ask why they should even lie but got cut off by Sungmin again
“Because he won’t pressure you into telling him the truth” Sungmin said
“Why does that matter?” Siwon asked curiously
“It doesn’t” Sungmin admitted “but when he comes in and sees me like this” he said pointing to his face “he’ll put the pieces together”
“Then won’t he tell the boss what happened?” Siwon asked
“No” Sungmin said “he cares about you and besides when I tell him I was jumped he’ll understand why I was lying”
“Why are you lying?” Siwon asked, why would the dealer care what happened to him?
“It doesn’t matter” Sungmin said straightening up when he was finished patching up Siwon’s face.
Siwon just nodded his head and didn’t say anything.
“I should be going” Sungmin said turning around to walk out of the bathroom
“Thank you” Siwon said
“Just remember to tell Donghae that that Kyuhyun wants to see him” he said before he walked out the bathroom and exited the apartment.
Siwon sat unmoving until he heard the front door close. He then looked into the mirror “what have I gotten myself into” he asked his reflection, when he obviously got no reply he straightened up and walked into the kitchen to get a glass of water.
He opened the vile Sungmin had brought him and took out a single golden pill, before he put it into his mouth and swallowed it.
In a few minutes everything would seem so much better.
Okay sorry this is so short, and for the lack of Eunhae but I needed to get this out of the way, but at least there is some insight into Sungmin’s past :D the next chapter will be all about Eunhae :D
