Krevlornswath of the Deathwok Clan discovered it by accident. To make something magical, he banged two clay pots together, hit a metal utensil, made a vibration with his throat,. Today he had discovered that if he added words it became even more beautiful. The words were simple “oohs”, “ahhs”, and “doos” peppered in between the vibrations made by his throat.

“Krevlornswath! What is that hideous noise?!”

He stopped immediately as he heard the bellow of his mother. He was caught with his hand in the revanor jar.

“Get out here, it is time to clean the Froshnacks from my beard!”
-----------------------------------

He stumbled onto the streets of Los Angeles, having enough sense to know that this was not Pylea.

He stopped in his tracks when heard something wonderful. He moved, blindly, letting the sound call to him like a siren. Instead of crashing against waves, he crashed against the window of a rent to own shop. He stared, fixated by the flickering, glowing images of cows caught in the box. He listened to this sound, unsure of what to call it. It wasn’t speech. It was so much more. He picked up the words quickly, repeating softly.

“Aaaah, Macarena! A-Hai!”
-----------------------------------

He spent most of his time in L.A. listening to people sing instead of singing. Why he couldn’t see her destiny, see what had in store for her, he didn’t know. Secretly, he blamed The Powers. They let her get the visions and didn’t bother to give her one to warn her about this.

He sang out softly, careful not to interrupt the grief of those surrounding the grave. Her friends. Her family. Her loved ones.

“I've been treated so wrong. I've been treated so long.”

This wouldn’t happen again. Next time, he would get this destiny thing right.
----------------------------------

The gun was dropped, still smoking. He had done his part and he was out forever. There was no bright future ahead of him, only coming darkness. His feet took him to the car but his mind wasn’t there. His mind was off wandering, walking a thousand different possibilities. His body that got into that car, started it up, and started to drive out of L.A. His body was driving him east. His fingers reached over, turning on the radio to cut through the heavy silence inside the car. His lips and voice sang along.

“Somewhere...over the rainbow...”
