I'd think the Flyers and the Lakers.
But in my head, there's a scenario where Angel, Wesley, Gunn, Spike and Lindsey get together every weekend to do nothing but watch sports. And Angel always roots against the teams Spike and Lindsey root for. Wesley and Gunn always have a bet going on how long it takes for Angel to lose his temper with Spike and Lindsey.
He probably had to make sure the guys over at the electronics store hooked up his TV and cable though. I can only imagine the frustrated look on his face and then him ripping apart the manual and muttering about demons working for Sony.
But I can totally see Spike rooting against him since he is Spike and likes to torment Angel. I think Angel would genuinely root for Y and Spike would be all about X to piss him off.
Lindsey I think would go for the southern teams so luckily his teams might not play any of the ones that Angel likes until the playoffs. Depends on which conference they fall into (for basketball)
My best friend and I were talking about this earlier this week (which is what prompted the question) and HE SAID THE EXACT SAME THING! I mean like almost word for word.

Not being a sports fan, I thought about it and I think Angel would probably follow a team from New York as he spent so many years there eating rats and probably didn't have much in the way of entertainment? It doesn't really make sense, I know. /brainfart
He'd be into college football soley for Notre Dame's Fightin' Irish...and when he watches, his accent comes bleeding back in and he needs a pint. The ONLY time he drinks anything other than blood.

And Cordy probably bitched him out because the Sports package is totally way too expensive and how was he going to afford her raise if he was wasting all the money on CABLE?? Doesn't he know there are shoes she needs?? *headslap*
