Just saw The House Always Wins this week. I still hate it now as much as I did when it first aired, but it did remind me how much I love Lorne, and what a wonderful, sympathetic character he is. I've been mourning Andy since I saw the ep, so I was glad to find this and settle in with them both for a moment.
Beautifully written. Powerful description. Nice emotional movement in a compact space. :raises Sea Breeze: Keep on rocking it, babe.
I will never ever ever forgive the writers for making Lorne a killer. Never. He was such a gentle, loving, and as you said, sympathetic soul. He didn't deserve to go out like that. He deserved to leave L.A., to go and keep on singing, and live a happy life to the fullest.
Then again, nobody in the Whedonverse gets that, no matter how much they might deserve it.
