I also read Invisible Monsters and I'm in the process of reading Lullaby. I'm loving Lullaby so far but I found Invisible Monsters to be kind of slow.
My dad told me to read some Hunter S. Thompson and he gave me Jack Kerouac's On The Road to read. He said he sees some similarities between them and Palahniuk.

Did I get you into Palahniuk? I think I remember referencing to him a while back with you.
But I surely did love Invisible Monsters. It's acutally my favorite. True, it was kind of slow, but it was compelling to me. I think all of Palahniuk's books have a certain theme to them and it's that theme that you relate to most that makes it your favorite. Ya know?
Lullaby is fantastic. I remember reading it in like four days.
I haven't heard of Thompson, but I really way to read some Jack Kerouac. I've decided to buy On The Road when summer starts. Tell me how it goes?
What books did Thompson write?

Nah, my friend told me about Palahniuk after I shared my love for the movie version of Fight Club. Needless to say, it took me a while (and his appearance on Conan O' Brien one night) to finally read his stuff.
It wasn't all bad; I did love the ending. But it's taken me the longest to read so far.
Hunter S. Thompson is a weird guy, I've heard. He wrote Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Johnny Depp played him in the movie version of the book. Although he was named different in the movie. I think a lot of his books have the Fear and Loathing... prefix. But, my dad told me he read a book of his called Hells Angels, it's about him spending six months with them; I thought it sounded kind of neat.
