The Hunchback of Notre Dame

This came out when I was 5/6 so I think I can be excused for not understanding it's depth.
Re-watch some of the scenes I am shocked by how it was actually allowed to be released.
Anyone who knows the slightest bit of info about disney knows that it doesn't usually touch on religion but when it does OMG! (no pun intended)

It's one of my least favourite disney films, its beautiful, it's deep but it's just too cruel, almost all my friends hate it for that reason too.
I don't think kids should be allowed to see it, it's too adult.

I watched it when I was little and adored it, but a lot of the themes went over my head. It was sort of an odd choice for a disney film, the book is even darker. This is a story that deals with lust, witch hunts, persecution, deformity, religion...not Disney's usual forte! 'Tis beautiful though ♥
