My eyes have just been opened up to the notion that all this time, Lolita drama may have actually been GOOD for me by making me stronger.

I just read through this bout of MASSIVE Dragon Age fandom drama on tumblr, and was kind of like

Why don't you join groups and protests that seek to solve the problems you claim society has, instead of arguing about it with Dragon Age fans on tumblr? - THIS, or you know get educated and VOTE :(

You know I've never heard of that kind of drama in lolita. It makes the stuff I do know about look silly~

Yeah, there has been some really bad shit, even way back when I thought everything was pretty good. I was actually mulling over this in a recent (private!) entry, how I somehow managed to ignore all this drama that has always existed.

Most of it isn't that bad though! At least, not in our area. Otherwise I think more people would be afraid to wear Lolita and go to meetups. Some of what I wrote were from horror stories I read online x_x For me, just reading about them makes my head spin.

lol...I kind of hope you're joking XD; But in case you aren't, no way! Not that kind of Lolita at all. It's an alternative fashion community that's sort of related to Punk and Goth. It's called Lolita because it's made up of ruffles and frills and cute girly things.

It's gotten somewhat popular so I was assuming most people had at least heard of it by now, but maybe I'm still living in my own small world...heh.

Oh I know of the gothic style etc. I had no idea there were websites where people would make fun of that I guess. :(

As far as I know it's just Lolitas making fun of Lolitas (but I haven't been part of any other subculture so I guess I wouldn't know...) and they're just communities in obscure places. I think there is one LJ comm for it that's private (there used to be a public one and LJ shut it down, thank goodness) and there's a room on 4chan I think.

I think it's because so many Lolitas are concerned with one-upping everybody these days that they need to put others down to feel better, or something...

It's that B-mommy-drama, isn't it?
lol, I think it's so pointless. As far as I know, it started because of that Serendipity-fanweek (she had suggested). People gave her shit because they thought she's claiming to be an authority and whatnot…

I think she shouldn't let any of the comments get to her - it's the internet hatemachine. She should react as sassy as she can and drink the tears of her enemies, just to spit it right back into their faces.

Oh! Yeah, it was that. It was just really bizarre for me to see so many people getting so worked up over a bunch of anonymous d-bags.
