I very recently did a friends cut. If you've been cut, it's for one or more of the following reasons: you rarely update, I rarely read your journal, I rarely hear from you, we don't have much in common, or you didn't respond to my many entries about an upcoming friend cut. If you've been cut, it's nothing personal.
