I slogged through "Twilight", hoping that as the next great teen book that it'd be as fantastic as I thought Harry Potter was. It wasn't.
Despite the fact that it did suck me in (pun intended) at the end, there was much internal laughing at the ridiculous aspects of it.

heh- i actually really enjoyed the 'twilight' series :P
call me a philistine- it's an apt a title as any... as justin so regrettably reminded me recently (ooo- alliteration!), i also enjoyed the movie 'armageddon' and can make many deep arguments as to why everyoe else should find it enjoyable too... though i won't...
and hey- i totally remember seeing a word over four-syllables used in the third book!!
sometimes, the key to bliss is indeed ignorance; or, at the very least, suspension of disbelief ;)

and hey- if i were a vampire i would definitely go to high school! i mean, you can't really 'win' the popularity contest if you're not near it- our adult world is so banal and frozen... plus, teenagers are gullible and easy pickings (see 'popularity of twilight novels' above for reference)
