I'm moving out of my house soon, and being the last kid in the nest my mother's going through a lot of remodeling so she can get a smaller place. She just replaced the carpet in spite of the fact that our cats have been peeing on the floor about three times a week for the last ten years. And since the two of us are rarely home these days, she wanted to find a home for them with a family that could give them more attention.
I'm a little more upset than I could be because they're pretty old cats and I figured she'd wait until they lived out the rest of their lives, and despite what the humane society said I can't imagine they'd be all that easy to adopt. But as I said, I've been preparing myself for this for a while. It was just a shock that she finally did it behind my back.

To Puck and Skivvey (Skivvey?), the best of luck and happiness.

YOU may not be angry at her, but *I* am. For peeing on the rug? God forbid you had ferrets.
That makes me a very sad and angry panda. :(
