This was supposed to be a blanket scenario but I failed ^_^;
The lights were switched off.
As expected, the cold feeling began sinking in. The darkness seemed to surround him completely, forbidding him to see where his castmates lay. There was no light visible, save for the small slit of brightness coming through below the door from outside.
Doori felt drops of perspiration forming on his forehead even though it was cold, his hands beginning to get clammy. There was something about the darkness that he absolutely abhorred. It gave him the feeling that he was a solitary being in a large space, without anyone beside him. The shadows playing on the windows and the ceiling gave off strange shapes, and moved in ways Doori wondered if he was just imagining or not.
He knew it was a bit childish to be afraid of the dark. His friends all teased him about it. He hated it, too, being scared once the lights were turned off for the night, but he couldn’t help it. Whenever his mother watched him turn in for the night and switched off his bedroom lights, Doori would slowly feel the cold, creepy feeling crawling on his spine. The covers and pillows gave not much comfort, and soon, he would find himself reaching out frantically to switch his night light on.
His fear of the dark had been there for so long he had forgotten what triggered it. All he knew was that ever since, he was unable to sleep in the dark, and would need his mother beside him. As he grew up, his comfort became the night light on his bedside table which would be turned on until he woke up the next day.
Tonight, though, there was no night light. He was staying in a cramped hotel room with some of his co-actors from Tenimyu. They were all grown-up, him being the youngest. He wanted to prove to them that he could act as adult-like as them, and tried showing it during rehearsals. But now that the night had set in, he wondered if their impression that he was a cool, mature individual would be erased.
Doori shivered as his knees began shaking. His imagination was beginning to get the best of him. He had started seeing weird shadows on the ceiling, beckoning to him. Sounds from outside and inside the room slowly reached his ears. He couldn’t take it. Tearing the covers off his bed, Doori jumped onto the nearest bed he felt.
He felt around for the edge of the blanket and slipped under it, bumping to the body owning the bed. He shut his eyes tightly and covered himself entirely with the blanket. On this bed, it was warmer, and Doori felt a little comforted.
“Doori?” Someone reluctantly patted his elbow. Doori knew that voice, and he was glad he ended up in that person’s bed.
“Kei-san, let me sleep here tonight. My bed’s really uncomfortable.”
Doori did not hear Minami’s answer, but he felt the blanket raised and placed snugly around his shoulders, with Minami’s hand patting his back and easing his fear.
The boy smiled. Maybe during nighttime he can drop his mature front. Maybe no one will laugh.
----------------------------------
Minami was lulling off to dreamland when he felt a weight land on his bed. Soon, he felt a smaller body snuggle close to him, tugging at the blanket and covering himself with it.
“Doori?” he asked, unsure. He could not see who was it, but the only ones with a slender body in the room was Doori and Aiba. And Aiba still hasn’t returned to the room, as far as he can remember.
He heard a sniff from Doori beside him. “K-kei-san, let me sleep here tonight. My bed’s really uncomfortable.”
Minami did not answer, but rather pulled the blanket close around them and held the boy’s back.
Doori was shivering slightly.
The older man then wondered if Doori was afraid of something. Maybe of the dark? Pressing his lips together, Minami patted Doori’s back, comforting the boy. It must have been hard for him to get up and find another person’s bed, considering how much he wanted to be treated as an adult.
As Doori slowly relaxed and steadied his breathing, Minami wondered if he should ask for a night light tomorrow. Doori wouldn’t be able to sleep if this kept up. He could ask Aiba to keep the lights on until Doori falls asleep, since Aiba couldn’t sleep with the lights on. He decided which would be better.
Minami suddenly remembered about Doori’s stubborness. Surely, he would be so annoyed if he found a night light waiting for him in the room tomorrow. He would even be more insulted if Aiba offered to keep awake until he fell asleep.
Patting Doori periodically to keep the boy asleep, Minami thought. He then decided to let things be. Doori would be embarrassed if he made any move to help the boy. After all, Doori did not ask for help, merely requesting to stay on his bed for the night.
“Kei-san, sorry,” Doori murmured as his hands gripped the blanket tightly. He leaned closer to Minami and completely fell asleep.
The older actor let his hand stay on Doori’s shoulder. He won’t request a night light or ask Aiba anymore, but Doori would always be welcome to sleep by his side every night.
This would just be a little secret between the two of them.
It became a well-kept innocent secret between the two of them, until Takki and the rest of the Seigaku actors opened their hotel room door wide open early next morning.

Whew! XD That was a bit hard. I hope it's okay ^^;
