i snapped a pic of the backyard, well one side of it anyways...
there's beginning to be such nice color, things are barely starting to bloom...

i hung this old giant rusty key up on fence, though you can't really see it in this pic, it's on the left of the giant angel...

This is so pretty! It's so serene... and magical. And the key makes me think of The Secret Garden. I don't remember if there was a key in that story but nevertheless, it still reminds me... :)
My favorite colors, too... purples and pinks!
Aww... look at the little doggie...and rabbit, and squirrel, and angel, and fairies and gnomes too, I bet!

definitely gotta have gnomes! =)
i have a gnome riding a frog, and one riding a white rabbit...

i tried to plant colors i liked (purple & pinks), i also have some plants in burgundy's, blues and reds...keeping it all in the same color family to give some uniformity...

what i regret is not keeping some of the plant name markers though...i forget what's what sometimes :(

A Gnome and awhite rabbit(i love alice in wonderland)

We have 3 gnomes in the backyard. Hubby and I were talking and
we agreed that they look like they've shrunk considerable over the past few years.
It's so weird.

I keep the backdoor locked at all times. Cause they look at me funny and the butcher block is in their line of sight. They each have little garden tools but they're looking pretty disgruntled these days....

Beautiful color palette(i love the cool tones)...definitely!
I know what you mean by the names of the plants...
It's not very cool to look into a petunia's face and call him a pansy.

<3 Youre wallpaper is beautiful.

that's strange (shrunk)...are they wood?
can't imagine what would make that happen
i think mine are resin, but they've held their color and size okay over the years...

lol...poor gnomes!
i would love to see your yard, do you have any pics?

This is beautiful! I see it's from 2006. Do you still have this garden? I would love to see an updated pic if you do. :) I love to garden, my own has been a work in progress for a while now.

thank you! =) yes! that's still my back yard, but in better days...i need to post an updated pic, it looks different...my own yards always have that "work in progress" look to them too, just cause i don't really plant things in any uniform way, just whatever i like and that lasts :b
