I think designers need to make up their mind as to whether they are going to make high fashion garments or contemporary RTW pieces. The muddling of the two does nothing good for either.

I dunno, maybe I just don't get it.

Also, the model in the MJ dress looks like Jody Foster in Taxi Driver.

this season i haven't liked any of chloe or marc jacobs runway stuff, i've only liked the rtw pieces so i'm glad designers do make rtw stuff especially since i can afford it occasionally and it makes me feel super fancy because they share a name with high fashion runway stuff... even if the runway stuff is ugly. i can see how it could pull down the image of the high fashion collection if regular people can afford to wear it's label..

also, that girl is rather jodi-esque in the face.

from what i remember, the runway line is comprised of one-of-a-kind couture pieces that go the highest bidder, either for that person to wear themselves (rare) or turn into a toned-down ready-to-wear line...

but i'm guessing you're talking about "marc jacobs" vs. "marc," etc.

most designers cant afford to just have couture stufff which is why all of them do rtw. most people in their target area cant afford to buy 2000 dresses. im in love w marc by marc stuff i have a few items myself. along with a pair of marc jacobs shoes my friend just sent me. i justtt really got into chloe and i also lovvve helmut lang.
why cant we be millionaires??

i've found that marc isn't that expensive at all, i'd prefer to buy one marc shirt over 3 abercrombie shirts any day. i've never heard of helmut lang, i'm about to google that right now!

H. Lang is big in Menswear. He is, more or less, responsible for bring tapered denim back into style for men..

My mom was selling some of her fendi and other designers on ebay ( stuff she got from a previous lawyer bf...all real).
Maybe you'll come upon some of it!

i did see a real fendi bag, the same as the fake one i got, but it was already up past $1,000 and it still had 5 days left!
