And he's going to be Spock soon. Maybe being a Vulcan in training prevents him from accessing his powers?

Yeah. I was watching the previews for it and it said "... and someone is killing them one by one" and, of course, I mentally added "Just like last season".

So far the villains are...

Season one: A guy in a hat.
Season two: A guy in a hood.
My prediction for season three: A guy with funny hair.
