Is the Intel CPU that it uses actually using the x86 instruction set?

Hadn't thought of that, good question. Mik would be the best source to be sure, I think he just bought a Macbook too. Its an Intel Core Duo right? Then yes, those are IA-32. The Intel Core 2 is going to be EMT64.
