Last month i finished my Solaris 10 sysadmin cert and started looking for work. Slowly but surely, i've been working my way down a list of headhunters with various levels of success. Volt, Manpower, Modis, Teksystems, and most recently Robert Half. Out of all of them, only two seem to actually care about the people they are representing and work

Congratulations on your cert! And good luck with the job hunt, both those places sound nice...of course we'd love to see you back in Dallas, but take it from me: Absolutely follow the money!

As long as i make enough to have a little to put away and get the experience and exposure to things, i'm peachy. It won't be till once i reach that 3-5 year mark that i can really move up, but you never know.
