Gerard likes his coffee black.
Bert, on the other hand, pours a shitload of sugar, creamer, or "whatthehellisthisshit?" in his coffee. Bert orders his coffee with ice, or something called Ginger Toffee or Banana Spice, or will have a café mocha and attempts at a perfect whipped cream mustache.
Sometimes, when Gerard kisses Bert, he can taste in Bert’s breath the sugar and the chocolate and the cinnamon Bert consumed earlier in the day. He doesn’t tell Bert, but Gerard looks forward to this. (and the events that follow after; and the morning after)
Still, Gerard takes his coffee black.
