hi, not to be totally random but a while back we were talking about how maybe you would want to trailer down to my trainer's for a lesson. i talked to him bc harnessphoto wants to come too and he said he would give my friends a reduced rate (haha too bad to him reduced rate means $75 for a private and $50 if you do it together). i was wondering if you were still interested. let me know and we'll try to get the dates squared away. it'll be fun! we can all watch each other's lessons and it'll be like a clinic. :)

at the time i really wanted to take jake and jake's out of comission so maybe if we wait a while longer i can have Aedan jumping and take him :)

we are in martin's creek, right off of route 611.

http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?searchtype=address&country=US&addtohistory=&searchtab=home&formtype=address&popflag=0&latitude=&longitude=&name=&phone=&level=&cat=&address=&city=martins+creek&state=pa&zipcode=

the light orange road the star is on is route 611. we're also really close to 33, which you can pick up from 80. just let me know when you get everything worked out and we'll set something up. :) i'm excited to meet you!!! i hope jake heals up soon!

Hey! Happened across your comment in here and realized "Hey, I live close to there!" I'm on the Jersey side of the Delaware right across from 611. Where is the farm you ride at? I've been looking for a new place to possibly take the beefcake (yes, great term of true endearment) to for some jumping refreshing for him. We were riding at a local place, but attitudes with boarders got weird around the farm...and I opted to not be involved in any of it. =] Not a fan of pony drama.

That's fine, I do as well...curse a lot that is. :) I'm starting over with a new journal, I used to be grittybelle but there were some problems and I had to delete it. Oh, well. ;)

Hey, I just applied to equestrian snark and was totally denied. The email said that I should contact a maintainer(?) and I guess you're one of them? I'm just curious as to why I'm denied? I guess I was really looking forward to reading some good snark... Ipromise I really don't care if I was denied b/c people ALREADY snarked me. I mean, I'm a big girl. I can take it. :-/ To be honest, I'm really bummed. I'd gotten to read a couple posts before they were friended, and thought they were a riot.

Anyway, I just can't get enough SNARK. If you'd just let me know, I'd be really greatful. :-) I know I can't be just let in because I guess everyone in the community has to let you in....which is fine again, just curious!

Hey, thanks for the e-mail. I like to see people asking about their Denial rather than just bitching about it. The thing is we have a Town Council type thing set up for admittance. The first few people were hand chosen by the two maintainers then we leave it up to the people. Applicants have to have a score of +2 to be admitted and while you received quite a few Yeses there were not enough to outweigh the No votes.

Right now we are experiencing a FLOOD of applicants and are inclined to DECLINE people at this time if they do not get enough positive ratings. I apologize, but feel free to re-apply in the future!

Totally understand. What is it that gives someone a Yes or NO vote? Does the community prefer active people in equestrian? Snarky ones? What? Or does it all depend on if the applicant's views line up with the community members?

Curiousity, again.

Glad you didn't mind that I posted to you. :-)

I guess it's a little of everything although we discourage people from giving a no vote just for opposing views since we encourage members to snark each other if necessary.
