Peter wriggled his nose and might have sneezed except that he was grinning too hard. He could see the light sparkle on the tops of his cheeks out of the corner of his eyes and felt his whole body tingling with warmth. Flight! He hadn't flown in ages, and no matter what he and Tink did tonight, the two of them would be having a jolly good time ( ... )

Tina hadn't needed the flattery - when she was with Peter she always felt like the very best thing in the world - but she revelled in it anyway. Gleefully throwing the window open she dutifully hopped aside to let Peter (always the captain, by default - but Tina was a very willing Brutus) to exit first then flew out into the night after him.

The sky was dark and heavy with clouds and there was a delicious undercurrent of impending rain in the air. Tina didn't care if it was about to pour - she threw herself head-first into the vast empty space, revelling in the rush of air and adrenaline as she cartwheeled with barely suppressed laughter over the roof of the mansion.
