Katara was just a few yards away, but closer to the lake, pushing and pulling at the waves. Easy work, things she'd done for years, but still gave her a sense of balance. Sometimes she really just wanted to be home. She felt like she couldn't learn enough here some days, but her power was already stronger thanks to the meditation from Control Class.

Speaking of mediation, someone was doing just that. She vaguely wanted to ask if he minded company, but she settled for doing some water dancing practice instead. She lifted the water into her two globes and got into the traditional position, made the first arm passes and-

"I'm sorry!" She cried out as one of the water-whips slid out of her control and splashed all over the other boy.

Toph was on a walk around the grounds. She enjoyed taking her walks around the grounds, feeling the various students all over campus playing with frisbees, experimenting with their powers, reading, or just hanging out. It seemed a lot of them enjoyed the outdoors more than she had originally thought they would.

Today, Toph found herself closer to the lake than she normally tended to go. Being someone who couldn't swim, Toph tended to avoid the lake just in case. Still, her feet had picked up some students by the lake and she was curious as to what they were doing.

"Is everything all right," she asked, when she heard one student (a female) shout an apology.

Kuruk opened his eyes when the water hit him. He didn't freak out or anything about being wet, because it was just water. Plus he might have been a little too relaxed. If something like this happened back in the day, his father would have said you should be more aware of your surroundings.

"It's alright. No harm done." He stood up and he waved an arm downward in one smooth and swift motion and pulled all of the water off of him. It floated just above his hand in a nice, round orb shape.

"I thought I felt someone else out here." He glanced over to Toph when he heard her speak. It was her. Kuruk couldn't help but grin.

Katara's hand moved out and back and the globe of water floating above his hand slid to rest above her own. It was her water after all. She regarded him a little curiously. Almost like water-dancing, that was.

"Oh hello Toph. It's fine, just wasn't paying as much attention as I should."

"Are you a water dancer- I mean, water mutant as well?" She turned to the person she didn't know and gave her most friendly smile. It would be nice to meet someone else who did this too.
