[Hajime would like to believe that this isn't anything too worrisome; just slightly irregular mechanics. He was hoping he could have a nice normal day, things have been relatively manageable since he got back from Japan.]

But these things do have the tendency to escalate, don't they. [sighs and resists the urge to prod a clock.]

Talking to yourself now? [Tsk tsk head-shake.] I knew you were on the way to going around the bend, but I didn't think I'd already got you there. Now what am I meant to do with my spare time?

[Eyeroll] You do enough projecting yourself in the literal sense, don't go doing it onto others now, too. Besides, it appears you have plenty of perfectly useless things to do when you get bored.

Perfectly useless?! [Haughty intake of breath how very dare you, sir.] I'll have you know that I take the utmost care in taking this business very seriously!

That is, the business of not taking things seriously.

Good to see you again, captain! silveradotides January 16 2011, 09:15:38 UTC
[Here Jim had thought his old pocket watch was the only thing acting weird, but as the day goes on, he sees that his watch is not the only clock running backwards... He's walking down one of the hallways now, wondering if anyone else will end up late thanks to this problem.]

[OOC: Two new logs to play in after I make my butthurt post in ooc... why do I fail so hard...]

[It seems there's at least one other person having a problem; mind you don't trip over that rabbit in a waistcoat running past you there.]

[It also has an oversized pocket-watch that he seems to be muttering is 'two days slow'.]

[OOC: Now way man! We needed that butthurt post, XI has been way too sleepy of late, I'm poking Sam to join in the uprising but his new work hours are hurting him something bad D:]

[Jim does a double take from almost not even noticing the furry fellow before him at first. He at first thinks it might have been a pet of some sort, but then it pulls out a watch and says... something, and he stops dead in his tracks.]

Umm, need some help there?

[He's questioning why he's just decided to talk to him...]

[Ooc: I heard how busy he is, I hope he's doing ok! Last I heard it threw his sleep schedule off big time... speaking of scedule changes how are you dealing with north american west coast time zones? ]

[The rabbit jumps nearly twice its height at Jim's addressal, apparently it hadn't even noticed him before.]

[It doesn't seem in the mood to chat however, as it darts off down the corridor at break-neck speed.]

[Cue disembodied voice.] Oh dear, I think you startled him.

[OOC: I'm dealing okay! It's the work-load that I'm having to get to grips with D:]

[Caesar is giving the clock on the computer lab wall a suspicious look. Is that running backwards?]

[Looking down at the time on the computer...]

[Yeah, that just ticked back a minute.]

...if the clocks never reach one, does that mean I can be out on my lunch break for the rest of the day?

[Caesar thinks the answer to that is yes. A new reason to skip is always welcome!]

[Oh hi thar just walking past in entirely nonchalant manner, just a few inches above the floor as per usual.]

Perhaps, or perhaps it means the lesson never ends and you're stuck here for all eternity?

[He throws a glance over at Mod, shrugs.]

I would worry about that if I were in a class, but it's the lunch break right now. So the worst it can be is that I'll be trapped in an infinite break.

[Looks up the clock himself with a pondering head-tilt.]

Ah, but surely if time is going backwards, you'll have to un-eat what you would have otherwise? Doesn't sound like much of a lark to me.

[WHOA ALL THE CLOCKS ARE GOING BACKWARD!!!]

[That must mean...]

[TIME IS GOING BACKWARD!!!]

[So she has to get un-ready for bed!]

[She un-brushes her teeth, un-washes her face, and is now walking backward to the kitchen to un-eat her supper.]

It isn't, isn't it? [Far too practiced insufferable grin~]

You don't seem to be taking against it though?

[Somehow Navi has gotten one of the analog clocks off the wall and is staring at it most intently. What is number %&? With a final frown, she makes a lopsided tower of chairs and hangs the clock back up backwards.]

[From the trail of chair-towers and backwards clocks, she has been at this a while.]

[Walking along admiring the ramshackle sculptures with only the vaguest interest in why they have appeared- ah, and there's his reason, he thought he'd find it eventually.]

Rather a curious habit?

[Oh hello there, adult-type-person-with-really-red-hair. Navi takes a moment to look puzzled from atop her latest wobbly stack, flipped clock still in hand.]

What's a curious habit? I didn't know you could have a habit out of being curious, I thought they were for knitting and sitting in the same spot and stuff.

[Looking around for this habit of curiosity now, but only until she remembers to hang up the clock. There, doesn't that look nice?]

Oh I assure you, I've met countless people who have a terrible habit of being curious. [Yours truly included. Admires the replacement.]

You find time interesting then?
