Mathieu, cheri. Come in come in, you know I'm never too busy for you mon petit.

[He sets the cookies down and tucks his hands behind his back before Francis has a chance to fret over them] We've just been so busy, so I thought I'd come see you. [smiles shyly] Plans for class coming along ok?

[He doesn't call himself your father for nothing Matt. Gives the cookies a cursory look over before looking up at Matt] That we have Matthieu. [Sighs, smiling softly] If only it could be like the good old days, where we had nothing but endless time...

They're coming along quite fine, but on a more important matter, what happened to your hands Matthieu?

[soft smile] They weren't so long ago Papa. And we're still here.

[He winces and takes them out from behind his back, looking down at them] W-Well...Um, don't worry too much Papa, but I was hallucinating? Waking dream sort of...And I climbed out of a broken window. Al and Caesar took care of my hands though so it's no trouble
