Gretchen didn't dress up too much, opting for a cute new dress and some flats. She went through the trouble of curling her hair and had made sure that she looked her best. She walked into the kitchen cautiously, looking around before she saw him... And the table he set up. It was very... cute.

She smiled a little and walked over to him. "Hey there."

"Hi," he grinned, dressed in nice jeans, tennis shoes, and a button down. It was the best he could manage, but she had liked the get-up for the dance, so he thought a second go-round wasn't a bad idea.

He went to her chair and tugged it out. "I hope this is all right."

Gretchen approved. She didn't need him to be dressed up more than that, it would just be awkward really. And it's not like they were going to the Opera or anything. Besides, his manners were the most important part...

"Of course it is," she assured him, taking her seat when he tugged the chair out for her. "You, like, totally didn't have to do this, Kirk..."

He grinned at her, somewhere between serious and sheepish, and took his own seat next to her.

"Well, I'm your boyfriend, and since it's not exactly recommended we go out-out, well..." he shrugged and began to dish up the mac and cheese, which to him smelled delicious.
