Kakashi had told Edward that he'd help rescue Winry, and true to his word, he was preparing the time machine to go back in time. Hopefully Edward would pack adequate supplies. It was fine and good to be eager to rescue a friend, but being in too much of a hurry would mean possibly forgetting something important. For once, he wasn't wearing a mask, and was dressed in clothing that wouldn't stand out too much in 1820 - assuming one wasn't looking at the fabric. In spite of his clothing choice, he was still armed. He had also brought a large satchel with some protein bars and water.

Ed had wasted no time packing, and only a few minutes researching what he should wear in 1820. His clothes were... passable. He really didn't have much that would fit in. He met Kakashi with a backpack slung across one shoulder, containing a couple of changes of clothing and some nonperishable snacks. He didn't expect to spend long there.

With luck, they would find Winry relatively quickly. If not, Kakashi was prepared to pick a few pockets to get enough money to find somewhere to stay for the night. As unsavory as that sounded, it was better than sleeping out in the streets of New York. No matter what the time, or even what City it was, that was never a very safe thing to do.

"Are you ready to go?"

He doubted Ed wanted to wait any longer, but he wanted to make sure they were as prepared as they could be.

"Yeah. Come on, let's go."

Is it obvious how impatient he is, Kakashi? He can make it more obvious if he has to.
