Front hall of the School. Morning. purpleprosenpc July 30 2010, 02:46:59 UTC
A man, clad in tweed and be-speckled, stood waiting just inside the main door of the school. He let himself in, the door open. The cold was hardly a thing for a man of his age, and he would rather bring these priceless aspects of history indoors. He carried a beat up old briefcase and a small trunk. He could be sticking around, or he could have just an odd sense of overnight supplies.

The oddest item with him was a small bundle, a statue the size of a usual sports trophy sitting on the floor next to him, wrapped in cloth. He pulled out a pocketwatch and checked it as he waited for someone to regard his arrival. After checking the time he cleaned his glasses, an empty motion, a motion it seemed he did a million times before and would do a million times again. Waiting impatiently.

He looked rather stuffy and British, just in his stance and how bored he seemed to be.

Sakura was used to being up early and worry made it harder to sleep so she was wandering the school, still in pursuit of her friend.

"Can I help you?" She slipped off her glove rather discretely, ready to defend herself if the time came. It didn't matter that the man looked more of a scholar than a fighter. Looks had been deceiving before.

"Ah, I would rather bring this to one of the staff," The man was stiff, but polite. He extended a hand to the girl, wrinkling his nose at her. If one were to guess, her hair might be a good guess, "Gilbert Riles, I'm a professor of history. I think you can help me, if you humor me a moment ( ... )

Sakura brushes off his disdain at her hair. She could care less really, what did the opinion of someone she didn't even know mean to her. But she took his hand, shaking firmly.

"I'm aware of the missing students." She started but then he pulled out the painting and went on about it for a few minutes. She barely listened, too caught by the fact that she knew that face.

"Shikamaru. Ino's friend." She lifted her gaze reluctantly from the painting, "His name is Shikamaru Nara. But why would he be in that painting, it's not a forgery is it?"

Mail time. This is a parcel for Kakashi likesherswords July 30 2010, 03:07:58 UTC
A long cylinder arrived in the mail, Kakashi's name on it. There's no return address on it, just a katana childishly drawn over Captain America's shield.

Inside is a wrapped item and a letter. The letter is a simple piece of paper, the words in English, printed, hurriedly.

Dear Kakashi,

I found this while traveling around, I thought it might be important with what Nick said about the school last time I checked in. I investigated the sword, the mark on the hand guard and the markings on the blade seemed most interesting.

...If I can have this back later that'd be great!

- M

There's a second page after the letter, detailing an old bridge in Japan. There are a few dates circled on the page but otherwise seems completely random.

The wrapped item is a sword, Intricate and old. The guard is a spiral, an odd useless design with no actual strength to it. It does look nice, you can at least give it that. On the side of the blade there's markings, in Japanese. Two words, two simple words.

Uzumaki Naruto

It was a good thing that Kakashi had already seen Alfred's signature on the Declaration of Independence. Although everything about the disappearances was odd, the package Mia had sent him pointed to some clear answers as to where Naruto could be found.

Of course, with all the missing people, it seemed like the problem wasn't just where in the world, but where in time and in the world they could be. Still, it was good that Naruto and Al hadn't kept low profiles. Once they had a means to go back in time, it would be possible to rescue everyone.

A small boy outside the school being really loud. purpleprosenpc July 30 2010, 04:46:13 UTC
"THE SOURCE, YOU ARE THE SOURCE!"

"THIS IS WHERE IT ALL STARTS, I KNOW THE TRUTH!"

"MUTANTS ARE REALLY ALIENS! AND THEY HAVE BEEN MESSING WITH OUR HISTORY TO MAKE US THINK THEY AREN'T!"

To anyone with ears, there is a small boy outside the school with a backpack of evidence and a sign saying The truth is right here. He has an unusually large head, glasses, and he is very very loud.

Giselle had been walking outside on the school grounds when she heard the shouting. The boy was small, and seemed very young. She wondered where his parents were. If he was talking about how mutants were aliens, then he obviously wasn't a new transfer to the school. Glancing around, she couldn't see any signs of any sort of parent or legal guardian anywhere, so she decided to approach him.

"Pardon me, little boy, but are you lost?"

He probably wasn't if he was here and talking about mutants, but she was trying to be nice. Perhaps he'd just watched too many science fiction movies lately and stopped by after school.

"I THINK IT IS YOU THAT IS LOST!" There is some less than needed dramatic pointing from the boy. "Aliens do not belong on Earth, they have never belonged on Earth. Effecting humans the way they do, causing chaos and disorder."

"I think today they are trying to recreate the witch trials, Salem had such a thing happen! One of the alien projects, the so called 'witches' insisted he was a Mutant! Obviously the Aliens have been working that name for a long time now!" Yeah... he's excitable, and doesn't seem all there.

Giselle paused and stared for a moment at the child. With his head that size, he almost reminded her of the drawings of aliens. Maybe he was projecting because he felt embarrassed? She decided that she'd listen patiently for the time being. She'd try to persuade him to call his parents for a ride later once he calmed down.

Offering him a pleasant smile, she gave the boy her full attention.

"Well, I'm very sorry, but I don't remember living anywhere other than earth. If I'm an alien, I must have been adopted when I was a baby. Who was the person who said he was a mutant?"

As he's a thief and former Brohooder... he shows up at 3 in the afternoon! The main office. tailtothethief July 30 2010, 18:48:15 UTC
Zidane really felt he should be sneaking in, it was more fun, for one thing. However, he was impatient and he didn't wanna go through the whole dance of last time so he compromised.

He was sneaking in while the sun was out and everyone could see him do it. It was unsubtle but very classy... in his mind. He wasn't wearing a mask, all he was up to was getting into the and waiting for someone to find him.

The chairs were really comfy in this office. It was nice. Zidane propped his feet up on the desk and left a small swag bag on the floor next to him. Man these guys were never in these offices were they? Probably something to do with the missing students. However it was more fun to wait here then go hunting for someone.

Mungojerrie was feeling decidedly out of the loop: as a new member of staff he hardly knew anyone and as a member of the Endowments Board he hardly ever interacted with kids outside of his mentor group. Added to that the fact that his only remarkable power wasn't exactly in high demand and Mungojerrie was feeling pretty damn useless ( ... )

Zidane grinned, "I broke into the office waiting for someone to come around." There wasn't a tone suggesting he was sorry for breaking into the school's office, or anything like that. In fact it sounded like pride, he also wasn't all that phased by the teleporting. "You should be more careful, this rug looks pretty pricey for a school's budget.

"But honest I am only here for a really good reason, and its something the X-Men might actually wanna hear about. Since I think I found two of your students," Zidane seemed to put an edge on the phrase 'X-Men,' as if it hurt to say. However aside from that he was entirely casual and cheery. He just wished he had someone else to go to with this info, but he was short on people with connections right now.

"Whoa, shit, really?"

Mungojerrie stopped trying to kick shards of mug under a bookcase as it suddenly occured to him that this kid wasn't actually a student. He entertained the idea of teleporting across the hallway to fetch someone a little more qualified to handle this kind of thing but quickly decided that what better way to prove his merit amongst the teaching staff than to deal with this new information himself?

Suffice to say, he didn't think it that important to even ask who this newcomer was.

"Right, information, okay." He stepped up to the desk and dutifully began rummaging around for a scrap of paper and a pen. "Okay, hit me with whatever you got!" He produced a pen and carefully wrote IMPORTANT INFORMATION!! and underlined it twice before looking up expectantly at Zidane.
