DID SOMEONE ASK FOR A POTTYMOUTH fingerbanged July 18 2010, 01:09:55 UTC
[It was a rare occasion when Yusuke entered a classroom, and an even rarer occasion when it was of his own will. But he had his reasons to stop by the gym today, even if they weren't quite as practical as Ulquiorra's were. Things had become boring lately, now that the high from the mass pranking had died down, and he really was starting to become restless. Usually, fighting had kept himself in shape and on his toes, so he never bothered with exercise, but now...well, there was barely anyone around to fight. It was frustrating. He wasn't about to let himself get rusty thanks to that, though.

So, in need of something to pummel, he wandered down to where the punching bags were, hoping to find one free. What he DID find, however, was one curt remark from a certain someone from not to long ago, which automatically prompted a frown.]

Can't a guy go find something to throttle without being interrogated?

One question is hardly an interrogation.

[Although that did answer his question about what Yusuke was looking for reasonably well. He continued pummeling the punching bag after he'd replied to Yusuke, making the chains holding it up clink in protest.]

[His eyebrow raised at the sight of the punching bag. It looked far tougher than the ones he was used to, and heavier to boot. Clearly it was made for more durable fists than even his own, and the fact that this guy was swinging it around like it was nothing meant there was more to him than just sharp comments and sullen looks.

...didn't mean Yusuke couldn't add in another smart remark.]

Doesn't mean I gotta get questioned whenever I wanna do something, though.

YOU WANT ANSWERS?! total_pessimist July 19 2010, 03:12:36 UTC
You could have answered with a simple 'no'.

[And there's a roundhouse kick to the bag]

Of course, you could have also just moved on to one of the other punching bags.

It's the question that catches Sephiroth off guard. He had more-or-less expected that he wouldn't be the only one in the gym, but expecting people wasn't really the same as expecting questions, or at least not in his mind. That it asked of need only made things more difficult. He was perfectly capable of doing everything that needed to be done on his own and was more than fine with a total lack of conversation (and would conveniently not recognize awkwardness) but that wasn't the same as needing something.

But after a moment further of consideration, he figured he might as well answer.

"No."

The voice was familiar enough that Ulquiorra turned around. He wasn't embarrassed by his abrupt question, but knowing that he wasn't speaking to someone likely to find something to give him hell over simply because they felt they weren't doing their jobs if they weren't heckling a student helped him mellow out slightly. Then again, the newest member of the security team worked the night shift. It would be odd for him to be up and working already when he would be patrolling the hallways until morning.

He considered another question.

"Would you like to spar?"

Ah, now that was a question that set things back on familiar ground. Even if it was something as simple as spar, fighting was what he'd been made to do. Besides, it couldn't hurt to get in more practice in what he was assuming was going to be a hand to hand sort of confrontation. He'd have to go and fetch his sword if that was how the fight was going to go and presumably Ulquiorra would have had a weapon as well.

So hand-to-hand it was.

"I would."

Ulquiorra wiped his forehead with his towel after hitting the punching bag one last time and took a generous swig of water from his nearby water bottle.

"We can either spar here, or if you want to use powers, we can go outside," he suggested. "It's up to you. Either way, you don't need to pull your punches with me. I have a healing factor."
