Enjolras sat at the kitchen table, quietly and methodically drying whatever Courfeyrac handed him from the sink. Courfeyrac had been ranting at length and loudly enough for both of them and now Enjolras had lapsed in to a thoughtful silence that was punctuated with the odd agreement.

With a sigh of thinly-veiled irritation he set the latest dried plate with the rest on the table. "It makes you wonder where these agencies are getting their information from," Enjolras said, folding the towel and placing it on the pile of plates. "Although it's interesting that his deportation was thought to be more important the emergency mutant travel ban."

"I have no idea," Courferyac said grumpily. "No respectable source, that's for sure. I mean, I can't see how anyone who has actually seen Comebferre and engaged him in even a minute's worth of conversation could ever see him as a mutant so dangerous he cannot remain within the United States. Thank God France is more liberal, at least."

Courfeyrac grumpily splashed around in the dishwater until he had relieved most of his feelings and pulled the plug. "Que c'est ridicule! What's the point of laws, even ones that violate the natural rights of all citizens if one doesn't apply them? Though granted, I'm glad they didn't apply this dagger in the heart of civil liberties." Once he dried off his hands, he draped himself over Enjolras's shoulders and pressed a light kiss to his hair. "Thank you for drying."

"Thank you for dinner," Enjolras replied solemnly, reaching up and behind him to touch Courfeyrac's cheek affectionately before starting to stand up. "I think in deporting mutants in spite of their own emergency laws the administration has shot itself in foot and thoroughly lamed itself:
the upside of this is it has secured its own instability; if they can't even follow their own laws, who amongst us should?" Enjolras shook his head as he stood and tucked his chair back under the table. "Henderson is really starting to show her true colors: first the threat of Registration and now the travel restrictions? We should be beating down Baelheit's door!" He paused. "Perhaps it's time for another protest."

"Eh, it was nothing special. I like doing it for you." Courfeyrac beamed at Enjolras at the mention of another protest. "Agreed! I mean, I admittedly don't expect much from the administration these days, but to be this... underhanded. Ugh."

Courfeyrac flung his arms around Enjolras's neck and momentarily buried his face against Enjolras's shoulder. "Well, at least we can do something about it. I'll start sending out the e-mails tomorrow." This said with the charming smile that meant Courfeyrac clearly wished to spend the evening doing something much more interesting than sending out e-mails.
