Come on in.

[Jane is pacing the floor, looking far more antsy than he's ever been since arriving at the Institute. He's also chewing on his thumbnail.]

That's all you need? Just a laptop?

[He did come in - he just closed the door behind him before taking a seat.

There was only that last comment from Jane that got him slightly offended. Micro-expression time - GO!]

What do you mean if this is all I need? For the the job in question, this is more than adequate.

What did you expect, wires and all that?

[He shows him his flash drive that he's fished out of his pocket]

Though this little guy here is definitely a key player.

So, the details that you said you'd be telling me, sir?

[Jane ignores the offense, partly because he's so used to offending people it's hardly worth mentioning, and partly because he's not very tech-savvy.]

California Bureau of Investigation. I need you to hack into their case file database and get a file for me. Preferably without leaving any indication that the file was accessed.

[He nodded as he listened to the... demands of his teacher.]

That's easily enough done, on all counts. Just tell me the name of the case file that you want, and I should be able to access it rather easily.

[Yes, right now, he's opening up his laptop, and it starts up rather easily enough after he inserts the flash drive into one of the USB ports. The screen starts up with this image as the background. Jane wouldn't know the significance of it, but maybe he can make note of it. Or not. His choice.]

There we go. Now, you were about to say~?
