[The latest product of Peeta's baking is just about finished. He carefully removes the cake from the oven and brings it over to the counter, noticing Scatach for the first time] Oh, hello. [big smile]

[Glances up at him. She had been subconsciously paying attention to what he was doing, but now that she's been addressed, she's all eyes and ears. Gives something of a smile in return.]

Hello. [Nods to the cake.] Smells good.

Thanks! It's chocolate. With cherry filling. [And while it's cooling he's going to start making the frosting.] I'm Peeta, by the way.

[symmachy]

[Well that sounds a bit tasty. But so much sugar. She turns on the stool, still peeling her pear, watching him.]

Peeta. I'm Scathach. [Pause.] Like the bread?

SOMEONE IS A VEGETARIAN, TOO

[Emma should be at her apartment, but she figured she was still a broke college kid, so she was going to snag some food before she left Xavier's.]

[She smiles at the other girl and goes to the refrigerator to pick at leftovers. Maybe a stirfry or salad.]

HOO-RAY!

[symmachy]

[Glances up at this new young woman, and cocks an eyebrow. She tilts her head to one side and eats a bit of the pear's skin.]

Looking for something specific?

[Turns back around.]

Oh, trying to find meatlless leftovers.

[symmachy]

[Well, that piques her interest.]

Meatless?

[Starr's passing through the kitchen on her way to work out before class. This is obvious since she is wearing clothes that are easy to move in and her long blonde hair is tied up in a ponytail.]

Hi, don't mind me, just grabbing something to eat.

[She eyes the fruit bowl and picks out an apple before rummaging for a knife.]

[symmachy]

[Not even looking at her. Until that hand goes for the apple, then her head snaps up and she watches, kind of creepily, with cat-slit green eyes. But she offers something of a smile.]

You look like you've been busy.

[attunedtotunes]

Not yet. I just got up. I plan to get busy though.

[produces a knife, takes a seat and starts peeling...in a fashion similar to Scathach if she were paying attention to that sort of thing. Starr doesn't seem to notice]

I don't think I've seen you around campus before. My name is Starr.

[symmachy]

[Goes back to peeling her own fruit, though she bites a bit of the skin from the long strip first.]
