Claudia takes a seat at one of the desks near the back of the room, grinning.
"Uh, yeah." She raises her hand, but doesn't wait to be called on. "I think I'm pretty good with computers." The same words scroll across the screen in front of her as she speaks, and Claudia smirks a little.
Foxx is just a bit apprehensive - she'd never had another technopath teach her computer science, and she couldn't quite figure out if she was incredibly excited or incredibly nervous. It didn't help that she didn't exactly have the best relationship with her mentor, the other technopath teacher she knew.
She took a seat, eyeing the computer on her desk and listening to its music. It isn't bad, but she'd seen, used, and assembled better. She pulled out her laptop, set it on the desk, and raised her hand.
Oh, she's noticed and she's rather intrigued. There's a time and a place for these things, though, and this isn't it.
"May we use our own computers?" She opens her own laptop to illustrate. "I'm a bit more comfortable with something I've built myself." In so many words, yes, she was good with computers too.
/Oh hey, Jack takes this class... XPjackbotsattackJune 22 2010, 06:22:34 UTC
Jack took a seat at the very back of the room, of course. Like he cared a thing about class; if he didn't have to be here, he wouldn't be.
He propped his feet up on the desktop, to the left of the computer. He could just hack into the server and show her just how skilled he was with computers... but that would require moving from his position, and he was quite comfy, thank you.
The computers in front of him were... nice, to say the least, but definitely not up to par with the computers he has at home, in his dorm, or the laptop that he had with him.
He simply took out his laptop, and without even so much as touching the keyboard or the touchpad, he sent her a simple message.
I would guess that I do quite well with computers, Ms. Gordon. You know, with me being a technopath and all...

That calculator is in Aisle 240 of the Warehouse.

To the rest of the class, "Never a good idea, by the way."

Barbara recognises the anxiety, and offers a reassuring smile when Foxx raises her hand.
"Yes, Foxx?"

Whatever. He can mess with computers just as well as any of them, only without the fancy "I don't even have to touch it"... ness.
"I'm pretty good with computers," he says, not bothering to raise his hand. "But I prefer their practical application in other stuff."
Always use big words with teachers; they like that.

Then we'll focus on your knowledge. Power is fairly useless without it, as I'm sure you're aware.

Oh, but I thought knowledge was power! =Da
Yes, this is him being a cheeky little bastard, but he definitely understands what she means.
She'd just be all too surprised with how much he knows, but he'll just play dumb. For the time being.

Most everything is power, if you know how to wield it.
