WHO: Keepsie, everyone who is cool WHEN: Happy hour, Sunday night, the day of the Genosha events. WHERE: Keepsie's Bar WHAT: Drinking. Etc. FORMAT: Wevz.
thus begins the Back Room Invasion of '10righteousapolloJune 14 2010, 19:42:56 UTC
[has been leaning on the back of Courfeyrac's chair looking equally absorbed in the television's news feed for a good ten minutes or so now]
[the feed itself seems to mainly consist of the same soundbites and shaky camera phone footage being replayed over and over again - but the real news happens whenever a fresh survivor is pulled from Genoshan rubble]
[unfortunately, these survivors are few and far between]
[Enjolras doesn't look away for a long time but eventually comes to sit silently on a chair next to Courfeyrac]
Keepsie will have to set out traps baited with 'The Social Contract' or somethingle_centreJune 14 2010, 19:53:16 UTC
[looks down at his wine for a minute, then looks over at Enjolras]
I think we ought to have some sort of... internet thing. A forum? So that the kids at the Institute and the kids in the brotherhood can talk about what happened. Actually no wait....
[frowns at the TV absently] Turning children lose on the internet is never a good choice. How about... a skype video conference? And we make sure we have teachers and staff members there on our end and adult members on theirs?
and then what, re-release them in to the wilds of France??righteousapolloJune 14 2010, 20:05:04 UTC
[takes his eyes off the television to look thoughtfully at Courfeyrac, but only for a second] That's a good idea. John Sheppard is the system administrator; I think he's the man to arrange that.
[momentarily distracted as the news feed changes to a panel debate speculating on the international reaction, Enjolras pauses to listen for a while before continuing:] But really it's not really the students in the Brotherhood who are the problem, is it? They're victims as much as any of the Genoshans - both humans and mutants alike. A forum might do well in convincing some of them to return to the Institute but that doesn't really the larger problem here.
