Lara walked up the steps to Maureen's place carrying a small, stylish workout bag in one hand and a bottle of Prosecco in the other. It was too early for wine, but at least with a sparkling white, there was the suggestion of mimosas. She paused at the door for a moment, brushing snow off her winter coat; she was a few minutes early, but that had never been a problem. The people she cam too early for inevitably found the extra minutes worthwhile.
The thought brought a smile touched with lazy hunger to her lips, and Lara knocked on the door.
Maureen gave a little jolt at the knock on the door, but quickly regained herself. To make it seem like she wasn't just standing around waiting, she waited a moment before moving over and answering. Her eyes lit up and she opened the door slowly, smirking at her guest. "Mornin'. You're a little early, so I'm guessing you didn't have trouble getting over here?"
She moved aside to let the woman in, instead of blocking the doorway. "We can put your coat just over on that chair there..."
"Not at all. I guess everyone else is still in bed," Lara answered.
She stepped across the threshold and nodded at Maureen's suggestion, shrugging out of the stylish winter coat and draping it over the chair. Underneath, Lara wore a tank top with yoga pants, well made and form fitting. But maybe the most important thing was that they were both easy to take off.
Smoldering heat and amusement danced in Lara's eyes as she handed Maureen the bottle of sparkling white wine. "Just in case you're ever in the mood for mimosas."
Maureen closed the door behind her, turning around just in time to see Lara shed the coat and reveal her workout clothing. Right. She had a tendency to forget just how distracting yoga clothing could be.
Maureen's lips twitched as she accepted the bottle, raising an eyebrow. "When wouldn't I be in the mood for a mimosa is more appropriate. Thanks, babe."
She crossed over to where she'd moved the coffee table and set the bottle down, smoothing out her own yoga pants as she stood completely. "Well, not everyone can be early birds like us."
