[He wasn't even looking for a party, he just wanted to come down and get some lunch and go back up to his room, but the sound of the bass coming out of the cafeteria is enough that he pokes his head in to see what's going on. He's just sort of standing in the doorway, looking surprised that the cafeteria has been transformed into some sort of party]

About two months, I got here right at the beginning of November. What about you?

Round the same. It's pretty great so far.

I have to admit I'm enjoying being here more than I had expected I would. Not everything is ideal but... [shrugs, as if to ask what is?]

[peers at] Come on in, it's fun. You're in my classes right?

[looks kind of relieved since he does kind of know you and he comes in]

I was really just looking for something to eat. I wasn't expecting all of.... this.

But there's food over here. [wandering over and pointing out their spread. Thanks Sanji]

[smiles at the bobbing and then he shakes his head]

I had my laptop turned off so I missed the post.

[looks over at the buffet, that does look nice] Oh, thank you. Did you want something? [so that he sort of has an excuse to go over instead of abandoning you because that would be rude]

Don't you want to dance Roderich? It's fun.

[heads over to the food, waving him along] I'm not hungry but you look like you needed a reason to walk over.

I don't really know a thing about this sort of dancing. My... my parents never approved of it. [but why does he care what they think anymore?]

[follows after and smiles] Well, it would have been rude to find out where the food was and then just leave.

[bouncing a little again] Didn't you ever learn that you should have fun along with everything else? [smiles, that lesson took a while for her]

It's nice how you're so proper. I wouldn't have minded.

[smiles a bit at the bouncing] I don't believe they covered that in etiquette lessons.

[picks up a few little things and nibbles on them, never ever talking with his mouthful] I was taught to always be polite and... really I don't often see a reason not to be.

[grins] You'll learn. Being responsible is all well and good but you need to relax and let yourself have fun. Be spontaneous.

[looking up at the lights] Oh you shouldn't be rude, but it wouldn't have been rude to ask and go. I assumed you would.

People seem to like telling me that.

[eats a piece of sushi and nods] I realize that, but I was enjoying talking to you as well.

You know if so many people agree, perhaps there's a reason.

[smiles] Well thank you then.

Because everyone thinks that I am too polite for my own good and like to get me to do things that are entirely embarrassing.
