Rune sauntered into the bar somewhat like a strangely tanned and peeling stick with a bit of blond fluff on his head, still a little jet-lagged and perfectly spaced out. He felt like he hadn't been in the states for ages, and the music, the voices and the atmosphere almost felt foreign to him. Nonetheless he went on with a charming if not loopy grin, weaving through the bar somewhat hopelessly until he finally spotted the dark, familiar shape of Kurogane somewhere in the corner of the bar. His grin broadened considering and he wandered over, tripping inelegantly over another customer's feet and apologising to them profusely, walking backwards until his legs hit the couch and he fell back onto the couch, flopping uncomfortably against Kurogane's side.

A few groans of discomfort later, he rolled his head back, smiling. "Long time no see, Kuro-grump~"

"Oi..."

Kurogane had watched the magician's slow, meandering progress across the room with narrowed eyes. Was he already drunk, or was he just being the magician? It was real hard to tell sometimes. After watching him trip over somebody's feet, he was on the verge of getting up and just bodily dragging him over, but he managed to make it on his own and ended up draped against Kurogane's shoulder. (Really, was he already drunk?!)

"Ku. Ro. Ga. Ne." He barely managed to keep his voice down as he ground out the syllables, then eyed the magician speculatively. "What's with you? Did you start drinking on the plane?"

"I am not drunk, I'm literally half asleep and I need something to wake me up." He pulled a face, flicking Kurogane distractedly on the arm. "Unlike some people, I still get affected by jet-lag. When did you get back?" He pointedly ignored the obvious spelling out of Kurogane's name - really, by now he should know that it was useless to even try. "You look good," he added, a little absently. "All that Madagascar sunshine has only added nicely to that huffy complexion of yours."

"Have some coffee, then. Or I'll just drink for you." Kurogane was already on his second cup of the sake. Though admittedly, it wouldn't be as fun if the magician wasn't drinking too. And he did get affected by jet lag, he just didn't need to act so loopy about it.

He snorted at the idea of Madagascar having added anything to his complexion. "It wasn't any sun, it was about a thousand bug bites," he groused. "Hell if I'm ever doing a rainforest mission again. Why are you all peeling, did you fall asleep in the sun?"
