[Deep down Kaito can't quite shake off the feeling something was wrong. He's never heard Gumi scream like that and he knows he never wants to again.

So lost in thought and practically running at full sprint, it isn't long until he reaches the right hallway and bursts through her door without even pausing]

Gumi!?

[Oh something was wrong alright, it didn't take a genius to know that hadn't been a happy scream or tears of joy. In fact, that scream would likely haunt her dreams unless she did something to keep it from doing so. (Hello sake stash, she'd be coming for you later!)

Meiko had been running too, intent on making that five minute deadline. Sometimes in situations like these promised times were damned important after all. Still, she ends up stuck behind Kaito, curse his longer legs, and follows him into Gumi's room.]
