WHO: Jean-Paul Beaubier, Chase Stein. WHERE: Their dorm, which is B22 iirc. WHEN: The day Chase arrives to school. WHAT: Idek. FORMAT: Quicklog. WARNINGS: None.
[Chase had only just gotten into the room--his bag was still on his bed, unpacked as if he were expecting to leave again--and he'd only just finished writing a somewhat angry post to the network when his new room mate walked in. Well, he obviously wouldn't have seen the post then, would he.
Chase leans back in his chair and watches JP cross the room, scrunching his nose up a little. He's never had to share a room before--well, not one as small as this with a complete stranger anyways--and wasn't really comfortable about it. Who knew what the guy was going to do to him when he was sleeping?
After a moment, Chase glances back at the computer.] So I guess you're the guy who I have to share this tiny room with, huh? [He was not a happy bunny right now.]
[Nope, he hasn't seen the angry post. He'll probably see it later but he, sadly, doesn't walk around with a laptop to look at the school's forum at all times. He's certainly thinking about it, though, because having a computer in class may make some classes less boring. Hmm. IDEAS.
JP's also really bad at reading people so he's not going to see that Chase is angry until it's really obvious.
He begins emptying his bag and putting his stuff in a semblance of order.]
Yes. I'm Jean-Paul. Or JP. [still and forever pronounced 'GP'.]
[Being forced to come here by one Captain America wasn't exactly something that he'd been pleased about, and the fact that he had to share a room had just made it worse.
Chase watched JP empty his back before glancing back at the computer screen when he received an email telling him that he'd gotten a reply and went to check it.]
[He finishes emptying his bag of the things he'll need to to his homeworks at some point. Leaving the books leaving around is his strategy to try and not forget about it. It doesn't mean he always does them, but he does so more often than he would if he left everything in his bag.
Then he drops on his bed and pulls his laptop on his lap, flipping the lid open.]
I think the equivalent of asl here is to ask people what their powers are. Do you want to start up a conversation with that or just shut up and fake we're both alone in the room? [This isn't meant to be accusatory, it's seriously just the way JP's brain works.]
