Roy had been coming into the gym to steal the shower after running laps around the lake for the past hour. He was looking forward to getting clean before having to drive home. He didn't relish the thought of sweat sinking into his car's upholstery and stinking up the interior when he least expected it. His car already looked like it'd seen as much action as he had. He didn't need it to smell the part, too.
He watched the woman beat the punching bag into submission, eyebrows raising as sand went flying out of it. Then he whistled as she gathered the sand back together (obviously using her powers) to put back in the bag.
"Remind me to stay on your good side."
Speaking from experience, he knew how one good sandstorm could totally screw with manipulating fire.
Nah, you're fine. :3mighty_molitaMarch 7 2010, 18:40:51 UTC
The sand paused in the air when Toph heard the whistle. It was the school's gym so she wasn't expecting to be alone for long. Still, the new presence did catch her off guard.
She smirked, "I will. Do you plan to do otherwise?" She didn't recognize the voice...probably one of the new staff they had hired...judging by the depth of the voice.
"You weren't planning on using this were you? I'm going to need to get some duct tape to make sure the sand stays in."
"Not at all, but I plan to be especially nice to you." He turned on the charm. "I'm trained in hand-to-hand, but I've got nowhere near your expertise."
Some flattery was allowed to figure out where the line was. He always knew with Riza: When she put her hand on her gun, it was time to quit.
"I'll grab the tape if you don't mind holding up the sand," he offered, heading towards what he assumed to be a storage closet.
Oh no, he was a flirt. Toph didn't mind his type so much...they could be pretty entertaining. Still, you also had to be careful about going to far. This was also the type of guy who was easy to make fun of. She got a lot of good laughs out of Warren after all. "You know that from watching me hit a bag a few times. You can't be half bad yourself."
The sand finished curling up into the bag. Toph leaned against the wall then, waiting for the new guy to get the duct tape, "Can do. Didn't catch your name by the way."
