Leaning against the outside wall to the school, Declan was leisurely playing with a rock, trying to avoid most people at the moment. No one imparticular, he just wasn't feeling social.

That was until this girl, dressed in all black, appeared. She stood there for a bit with her backpack, and he just stared. Finally, he threw the rock to the side and got up. "You lost?"

She whirled around to look at the source of the voice, only realizing now that she wasn't alone and probably hadn't been the entire time she'd been there staring outside.

"Not in the traditional sense," Pamela replied quickly. "I know my way around the campus and I've been here for weeks now."

She smiled briefly at the boy who'd asked, though her focus was still on figuring out what to do about all of this.

A wild Jeremie appears! past_returns February 25 2010, 04:35:48 UTC
Jeremie had figured that a trip to town would be a good idea as much as he didn't want to be around people. Some things you just had to buy in person, such as new sneakers.

He walked towards the gate, aiming to catch a bus, as he checked his wallet for fare. Looked like he had more than enough...and some euros he kept meaning to take to the bank to exchange. Whoops.

Pamela noticed the boy walking toward the gate. Glancing over her shoulder at him, she inquired, "Looking to catch a bus?"

It would be a lot to ask to bum enough bus fare to head over to Missouri - and she had bus tickets for the local transit system. But maybe there was some other arrangement she could make.

Jeremie looked up at her, nodding. "Yeah." He tapped a foot on the ground. "Need new sneakers and have to go to the bank. You?"

He was careful to maintain his distance even though the gloves he'd started wearing helped prevent skin contact, force of habit making him widen the "personal space bubble". He didn't want to accidentally see her memories.

"Trying to find a way to get all the way to Missouri on short notice," she said. It was the truth, more or less. She just wasn't elaborating on why as of yet, because not everyone would understand her dedication to her preferred cause.
