"Come in." Buffy is long past the sharpening pencils obsessively while waiting for students to come in stage. She has now progressed to scrolling through the internet.

But she looks up and gives Velma all of her attention when the bespectacled girl knocks on her door.

Velma put on her mitten and sat down. No point in putting this off, she was in here, she should just state her concerns. That is how this works, isn't it? State your concerns and get advice.

"I'm concerned about my powers. I think they stand in the way of my social growth." Nothing about that sentence suggested concern on an emotional level, it was very direct, analytical. Although she seemed honest, even without obvious sincerity.

"Okay. Um, what are your powers and how are they getting in the way of your social growth?" she pulls up the program with everyone's files onto her computer.

"I understand things via physical contact. Which on the one hand gives me great insight to my classmates and their abilities," she stopped, and thought about a few of her run-ins with her powers. "On the other hand, that sort of intimate detail without social interaction is not the natural progression of any relationship. I think it might cause some of my peers discomfort, as well as color their opinion of how to interact with me. Such as leaving them with thoughts that I am..." Velma paused for a moment, "well, creepy."
