[He laughed a bit and nodded. A moment later the ground had a nice layer of snow over it.]

Well there's no way you can learn this, without snow. And sadly, snow's cold.

[He bent down into the snow and started to form a ball out of it.]

Now are you ready to get down and wet?

[She glanced at the snow and then at him.]

Cause it'll help me get back at Sammy I think I'm okay with sacrificin' a lil warmth.

[She scooped up some snow and watched him to see exactly how to form it]

[He stopped forming the ball and smiled at the girl]

Why don't you tell me a bit about your home?

[He slowly started to shape the ball, running his hands along the surface and smoothing it out.]

[Paige grinned at the question]

I think it's one of the prettiest places I've ever seen. Which probably ain't sayin' much since it's the only place I've really ever been. We visited my Uncle Lucas in New Orleans when I was lil but I don't really remember that too much.

[She patted the clump of snow in her hand, somehow managing to have less snow than when she started.]

But my family has a farm. Well, it's kinda a farm. We ain't really got much in it besides chickens an' my sister's vegetable garden but Ma owns a bit of land. I'm pretty sure the county paid her in expandin' it when Pa died.

[She frowned and kept patting the snow.]

There's woods an' a creek that becomes a river. An' then our house is there. It ain't much ta see, nothin' like the mansion but it sure does fit all eleven of us inside it nicely. It's kinda weird only havin' one roommate when I'm used ta sharin' with at least three.

[She looked at her ball and then his]

How come I have less snow on mine than you do?
