WHO: Tim Drake, Jason Todd WHERE: Tim's room WHEN: ...Now? WHAT: The excuse here is that there is an engineering homework. FORMAT: Paragraph. WARNINGS: None.
Jason just looks up with a slight smirk, not bothering to move yet.
"In which case, I woulda asked him if he'd seen my pet geek around. Now! Help me with this engineering homework." He pats the other book he brought with him, the engineering text book, that is sat on Tim's bed next to him, along with a notebook and pen.
And yes, that wasn't so much a request as a statement.
"I'm not your pet geek." It's not said in a argumentative way, it's just a tired statement, because he knows it won't be exactly useful. It's part of what comes with Jason.
"And if he had already been here, he might have complained about another student breaking into his room."
Tim doesn't mind helping Jason out with his homeworks, and he's actually surprised that he brought his books. He very well could have brought nothing and it wouldn't have been surprising.
"We could meet somewhere next time." He puts his bag on the floor and fetches his own books. His homework is already done.
"Oh, but I wouldn't want to go calling you my pet stalker, even if it's more accurate." Jason grins sharply, sitting up and letting the novel fall closed in his lap.
"Who knows, maybe we would've struck up a conversation. Though I'm sure he's not as interesting as his reading habits." And no, he's never letting that drop.
Jason has brought his books so that it looks like a normal study session from the outside, rather than him basically forcing someone else to do his homework for him. After all, one person having books and the other one having nothing would have looked suspicious.
"We are meeting somewhere, it just happens to be your room." He answers dismissively, but then gives it a moment's thought. "Where else'd you want to meet?"
Tim finds himself hoping Jason is never going to meet Ludwig because he can see him asking his roommate about his... magazines. He has no idea how this conversation would go at all, but he's not all that curious.
"The library has rooms for study group. It would be easy to go there," he points out, more out of habit of answering questions than anything. Jason's questions was probably not really serious. "My room is fine. You could try -- planning ahead. And not break in...?"
He sits on his bed, out of Jason's reach. He's still thinking about the 'Pet Stalker' comment. "Jason? I haven't -- we haven't really talked about if you were mad at me." Now is as good at any time to bring this up.
