It had taken a little bit of a self pep-talk to go out with an illusion in place so she could take a look around. Eventually, she did and made a simple illusion of black bracelet around her wrist, heading out into the night to explore the grounds. She'd managed to look around the school a little, but hadn't explored the outside yet. So here she was, a little more comfortable using her illusions (even if they were small and confined) when there were fewer people around.

But it seemed that there were still people on the grounds, as she walked around one of the buildings to see a man with... spray paint? She walked closer, looking up at the mural. She didn't think she'd ever seen any graffiti like this in New York.

Sanae taped a stencil up, shaking the can to get the rest of the paint inside it. He paused when he hear someone approach. It was a strange thing to still himself instead of hiding. He constantly had to remind himself that 'CAT' was something he left in Shibuya, there was no need for such secrecy here.

Pulling down the bandanna he had tied to his face, "Hello?" He called out, picking up one of his flashlights to shine in her direction.

Mag blinked rapidly as the light shone in her eyes, extremely unaccustomed to the bright light. She moved out of the way of the light a little, since her eyes didn't adjust and looked at the man. He looked familiar- another teacher. "Hello," she said, "I'm sorry if I interrupted your... painting." She wasn't quite sure if that was the correct word in this case, since she normally associated painting with a brush.

Moving the light so it wouldn't shine right into her face, Sanae lowered his can slightly. "S'okay, I should probably take a break before the fumes get to me." He smiles and rubs at the back his neck, still awkward from his instinctive urge to keep his art secret. "I'm Sanae Hanekoma, but everyone around here calls me Mr H." She must be another teacher, but he wasn't completely familiar with the rest of the staff yet.

It was after dinner that Naminé decided she wanted to take the long way around the school back to her dorm so she could walk outside in the night for a while. It wasn't darkness that frightened her, it was people in the darkness...but she didn't have to be scared of the people here, she told herself. They were like she was, so no one would be angry at or scared of her for having powers, or try to use her either. Her teachers already knew she wouldn't use her powers.

Around the back of the school, a sharp aerosal smell reached her nose, and Naminé, curious--she knew the smell of spray paint--went in search of it. What she found was fascinating: there was her art teacher Mr. Hanekoma (Mr. H, he seemed to like to be called) spray-painting on a wall.

Sanae didn't notice her right away, busy getting one of the corners just right. The darkness suited him just fine, used to working by the cover of night with just the street lights and some flashlights to guide his hand.

It was after he'd finished part of another stencil that he finally noticed her, jumping slightly. "Oh! Hi there, Naminé, right?" He yanked down the makeshift breathing mask bandanna and let it hang around his neck. "You're in my Art class."

Naminé ducked her head as Mr. H turned and noticed her. He seemed startled by her presence, and she mumbled "sorry" for having surprised him, then added a shy "yes" in answer to his question. In spite of her shyness, she couldn't help peeking up through her bangs again at his work-in-progress. It was fascinating; she would have stood there all evening studying it if she could.

"It's really pretty," she offered of the mural.

Looking from her to the mural, and back, Sanae just rubs at the back of his neck. This is why he preferred anonymity. No awkward 'that's nice' comments when someone doesn't mean them, but also no awkwardness to deal with when he has to thank people for liking his art.

"Ah, thanks." He smiles, at least she's a fellow artist--it's never as awkward between artists, "You like graffiti?"
