Ella opened the door and slipped inside, closing it behind herself. Even if the deputy headmistress weren't a scary mind-reading mutant, there was no hiding the distress on her face.
She was trying not to be a pouty teenager, but she was a teenager, and she had every right to pout. She didn't stomp to the chair, but she did flop down into it dramatically.
"Yeah, something's the matter. Apparently we got on the news. And Youtube. And everywhere." Ella ran a hand through her hair and tugged at it in frustration. She had the distinct sense that she was the last one to know about this. As usual.

"Is something the matter, dear?" she asked, and gestured towards a squashy white chair in front of her desk. "Have a seat."
