[Alfred was, of course, mostly looking forward to the Avengers' mansion part of this trip, but once he actually gets to the museum he decides it is a pretty awesome museum, and is geeking out over the planes.

Like he can pretty much name where they're from on sight.

OMG PLANES.

He's kind of darting between various displays like a five-year-old.]

[whatever you were doing, you just got interrupted by this really loud noise and some ominous floorshakin'.]

[ get your towels ready. it's about to go down.]

[ standing in front of the Lockheed, arms crossed, a kind of thoughtful expression on his face. boy loves his Blackbird, ayup. ]

[Zoom, Alfred's zipping by to look at the plane and then zipping off again. Zipping because he is just a bit off the ground in his excitement, so he looks like a really happy hovercar.]

[ just watches him go, smiling. hey, sometimes you just gotta let hovercars be hovercars. ]

[ going through Tony Stark's head right now: How interesting. I designed that plane. And that one. And that one over- ... they modified the horizontal stabilizers. ]

[ so yeah. He'll be over here, looking at a plane like it just killed his family ]

[Have a drive-by Alfred zooming to look over all those planes you designed. Hovercrafting about about six inches off the floor and gleeing at everything.]

[ well isn't that moderately gratifying. HOWEVER. ]

[...Oh, oops. Alfred touches down again.] Sorry, didn't notice. [Gleefully examines more planes!]

What is this hiatus thing I'm on, I keep forgetting...

*Holly J is taking very meticulous notes on the planes. Not that she likes them, but she figures Mr. Stark will have a test on them at some point, and it wouldn't be bad to have notes from a first hand look at them.*

*She looks VERY bored.*

[ZOOM Alfred is pausing to glee at the plane you're looking at. And then he grins, waves, and zips off again. You may note he is kind of hovering off the ground a bit.]

[Kurt comes up behind Holly J, taking a closer look at the airplanes to see what it is she has so many notes to take about, but he's got nothing. An airplane is an airplane to him]

You know, I thought people usually came on field trips to do less schoolwork, right? [laughs]

[ this is all actually quite interesting; though pepper knows next to nothing about planes, they don't bore her in the least. she likes looking at them. she wanders at a slow pace, leisurely and quietly in awe. she'd always wanted to go here - the whole deal of mostly being stationed in california had kind of gotten in the way until now. ]
