[Nia is caught off-guard by the fist tennis ball lobbed her way, and ends up accidentally turnin' cloudy and letting it go through the middle of her with a soft "phoof" sound. Woops.]

[Gasps as one of them hits Yui, and flies over.]

Are you okay?!

[Tina can't help but give a rather undignified snort of laughter as the ball hits Yui.]

Sorryyyyy! [Tina sounds altogether unconvincing, but no wonder: she was quite proud of hitting someone so well without even trying.]

[Even cooler was omg Isky just set the tennis ball on fire. Tina looks absolutely delighted. This is much more fun than dodging things!]

Oooh, do it again!

[Tina begs as she kicks the next ball towards Iskierka, sending it ridiculously high in the air and altogether forgetting that there was, in fact, a teacher present...]

[Alfred, taking advantage of his current lack of super strength, kicks--with rather good accuracy--a tennis ball toward the back of Tina's head, while she's focused on Iskierka.]

[Rinoa, having gone airborn as soon as the first ball went flying, is doing her best to just stay out of the way of the more advanced fliers. It doesn't help that her wings happen to be rather large though, it must be convenient to be so compact while flying.]

[Yui rubs her face, tearing up a bit. That had hurt, and it had hurt more than just her face - her pride was severely bruised. Everyone else was dodging the balls fine, or even setting them on fire (which was so cool, omg). She turns to the girl with the awesome hair.]

I think I'm fine, just...

[She waves a little at Tina to acknowledge her apology, not even noticing the unconvincingness, or the ball hurtling towards the other girl]

[The ball hit Tina squarely in the back of the head, knocking her off-balance and pitching her forwards with an annoyed shriek. Shooting Al a very unimpressed look she quickly scoops up a fallen tennis ball and lobs it back at him.]

[Or, that's what happens in theory.]

[In actuality, Tina is so overcome with dizziness that the balls curves off in completely the wrong direction and hurtles towards Yui's face. Again]

[Nia looks totes concerned and floats nearer to Yui]

It's okay, y-- [Tina's tennis ball! Nia gasps and grabs hold of Yui's arm and the ball whooshes right through the middle of Yui's head. Um.. woops.]

[Okay, collecting himself, zooming over--forgetting about that whole staying in place thing--behind Yui and kicking the ball in a high arc back at Tina.]

[Looks delighted by Tina's praise, and snorts some smoke at Al's tennis ball-y assault of her -- she puts herself between Tina and the ball with two flaps of her ~mighty wings~ and breathes such a blast of flames at it that it disintegrates entirely before even hitting the ground.]

[Has entirely forgotten what the point of this class was supposed to be before it became Setting Tennis Balls On Fire Class.]

[Alfred's shoe catches on fire. He promptly flails around before kicking it off. He doesn't really pay attention to where it's going.]

[She turns to stare at Nia, flailing slightly.]

[Alfred isn't quite sure where his shoe went.

Oh, there it is. On his shoulder.

Oh god his shirt is on fire and make a sort of flaily yelly noise before his super strength reactivates and he rips the shirt off and throws it in a random direction.

CRISIS AVERTED but now there is a shoe and a shirt on fire and in the air.]

[Takes hand off Yui's arm and looks totally apologetic!]

Oh -- Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry! I-I... my power is um, clouds, and I.. sorry!

[just manages to get out of the way of Al's flaming shoe, staring back at the rest of the group as it swishes past her.]

[Thankfully there's your helpful water manipulator to put a damper on that little mistake. The bottle's in her hand and the water's in the air before Rinoa's even registered what she's doing. Thankfully water is something she can work with easily and the small handful of water soon expands before drenching the remains of the shoe and shirt.]

[Rinoa's now looking rather pleased with herself because she just used another power while flying. It was a breakthrough really, she'd never tried to mix abilities before.]

[BUT ALAS, this happens the second after the flaming shirt/shoe combination narrowly misses Megan's fluffy pink hair and - well, she's gotten better at controlling her powers when she's startled but NOT WHEN THINGS THAT ARE ON FIRE ARE HURTLING AT HER]

[she makes a terrified squeak and precisely what everyone does not need to happen right now ... occurs]
