Is your telepathy class going to cover different things from Ms. Lockhart's? Also...what's Anthropology about?

I am going to focus solely on Telepathy, as I lack the empathic powers other people might have. I have yet to meet Ms. Lockheart, but it will be something we could discuss once I come into contact with her.

Anthropology... is a study of humans, which tries to answer the following questions: What defines Homo sapiens? Who are the ancestors of modern Homo sapiens? What are humans' physical traits? How do humans behave? Why are there variations and differences among different groups of humans? How has the evolutionary past of Homo sapiens influenced its social organization and culture? and so forth. Since we derive from Homo sapiens, and the only difference between them and us for the most part is only our abilities, it would behoove people like us to study this in order to see how similar we still are. If this helps us as a whole, it will also help us in our case for civil rights and equality among the rest of the human population.

So, like, mind reading? I'm just trying to figure out who will be best for me since, well, I'm still having trouble blocking out people's thoughts and stuff. Do you think I could just stop in your class one day?

I know how that is like. Quite inconvenient when you're listening to so many people and you can hardly hear yourself think. I was able to manage it so that if I wanted to, I could focus on one, or a group of people of my choice, and 'turn it off' at will. It took a while, but it is possible.

And no, I would not mind if you sit in class one day to observe. It is a reasonable request, and one to which I can oblige.
