[The camera turns on to reveal a 17-year old boy in a white hoodie sitting at his desk. A lone suitcase and a backpack are sitting on the bed in the half of the room that appears otherwise empty.]
Uh, hello, everyone. My name is Rhys, and I'm new here. I was supposed to arrive earlier this week, but my flight was delayed by the weather coming out of Portland. I guess that means I've missed the first few days of classes. I guess I'll need to talk to the teachers tomorrow and see what I can do to get caught up.
[A pause as he takes a drink of water from a worn, gray Nalgene bottle]
Anyway, if any of you are in my classes, I'd appreciate it if you could let me know what I missed. I know it's probably too late for me to get caught up on homework or anything, but at least I can get an idea... ahem. Anyway, my classes are Anatomy, Chemistry, English... History... uh... hold on...
[Clicks around furiously on his laptop until he finds his class list]
Oh yes, Herbal Medicine and Energy Projection. I'm also signed up for the Aviation class... but I don't know. I... it's a little scary. I just don't know if... right now... well...
[Slight embarrassment as he realizes he is fumbling. Yes, he's conflicted about this- while flying has always fascinated him, the idea of doing it is still terrifying- but he didn't want to advertise that as his first impression!]
