Are there any Dungeon and Dragons players, here? I haven't played since I arrived and I was going to start my own game back in my old school

The basic principle is that you create yourself a character in a fantasy setting, a little similar to Lord of the Ring's.
The character will have a race and a class, say Human Bard, or Dwarf Warrior, and then you meet with other people who also created their characters, and you roleplay these characters through an adventure.
The Dungeon Master is the one telling the story and throwing monsters at the characters. The characters can go up levels when they accomplish quests or beat monsters. There are a lot of dice rolls involved.
Bard's in the PHB2. And sure I'll play. But you know Bobby Drake's starting a gaming group? And D&D is one of the games. So you might want to check that out.
If it all works out, the first meeting will be to create characters and explain how things would work. We're going to start right from the beginning, too. You would have time to get used to it.

So my suggestion? If you haven't given it at least a shot? Do so.
Also, PHB2 classes in 3rd were totally OP. I completely agree. In any case I'll see you at game.
