Hi, I'm Jean-Paul Beaubier.

Not to be picky or anything, but I want my name to be pronounced correctly. So here's a short audio sequence to help you out.

[The voice recognition clicks on. Have a French-Canadian accent.]

[Jean-Paul Beaubier. Not 'Jeeeen Pohl' -- or whatever you can come up with.][And it's back to text ( Read more... )

You'd hardly be the first or last person whose name will get mispronounced at this school.

Yeah but mine's easy not to mess up.

And the others should complain, too, if it's bad.

My name is Ulquiorra Cifer, and I have my name mispronounced all the time. Although I'm not accommodating enough to invite people to use my initials as a substitution.

[have your name butchered by a Welsh accent]

[you can practically hear her squinting]

[did you know the letter J doesn't exist in the Welsh alphabet]

Ohhh! Like, Shaun-Paul? [sounds as if she is concentrating]

[Sounds as though she is not:] I dunno, I'm just sticking to calling him Shaun. So much easier!

[Blank screen for a moment, then Wade pops up into view, dressed in what looks like a black and white version of his normal outfit. There's an outlandish stick-on moustache glued to the front of his mask and an elaborate ruff around his neck.]

[He waggles his eyebrows at the screen, then produces two pieces of cheese and a baguette, and begins to juggle them.]

It looks like you're trying to mock a student's nationality.

Would you like help?

• Get help finding appropriately insulting stereotypes.

• Just mock him as you have been without help.

☐ Don't show me this tip again.

Oh, please. The last thing we need at this school is another uppity snob.

Snobs in high school. Are you kidding. This never happens!

My point exactly. Good luck finding anyone to take you seriously now -- just don't be surprised if someone starts a club dedicated entirely to the mispronunciation of your name.

And everyone in this club will have me on their back. I don't lick people's asses so they'll like me. If they have time to waste annoying me because I'm blunt, they're the ridiculous ones.

Am I supposed to expect everyone to be hypocrites? Because screw that, if I have a problem, you'll hear about it, I'm not going to keep it in and whine about it to my friends until there are rumours started about the most ridiculous things.
